“Christian, remember your dignity!” • Bishop Brendan J. Cahill was ordained a bishop on June 29, 2015, as the third bishop of the Diocese of Victoria in Texas. Since 2017, he has served as the Bishop Promoter for the Apostleship of the Sea in the United States. He currently is the chairman of the USCCB Subcommittee for the Pastoral Care of Migrants, Refugees, and Travelers.

Living with Christ This Week • Our Eucharist reminds us that Jesus has come to be with us and transform our lives. The first readings this week describe how Jerusalem and the Holy Land will be restored and transformed by God’s presence. In the gospels, Jesus offers examples of how our lives are changed through healing, God’s search for us, God’s incarnation in Mary’s womb, and the fearless witness of prophets like John the Baptist.
